At a table tennis club, a school event, or a darts night, a sheet pinned to the wall is often the fastest option. That’s why we’ve prepared printable tournament brackets in PDF, ready to download and print for 8, 16, 32, and 64 players, in the two most popular formats: single elimination and double elimination.

Most importantly, the brackets are fully compatible with Turniej Generator. The paper layout matches the bracket in the system, so the sheet doesn’t replace the app; it complements it. You play on paper in the hall and enter the results into the system as you go or at any later time, for example during a break, after the event, or that evening at home. Either way, the tournament still ends up in Turniej Generator with a full bracket, results, and standings.

Printable tournament bracket: download the PDF

All brackets are free to download. Click a file, open it, and print it, ideally on A4 paper, or A3 for the larger brackets. The labels in the files are in Polish („miejsce” means „place”).

Players

Single elimination (KO)

Double elimination (2KO)

8

8-player bracket – KO (PDF)

8-player bracket – 2KO (PDF)

16

16-player bracket – KO (PDF)

16-player bracket – 2KO (PDF)

32

32-player bracket – KO (PDF)

32-player bracket – 2KO (PDF)

64

64-player bracket – KO (PDF)

64-player bracket – 2KO (PDF)

Printable tournament brackets in PDF: free downloads.

You’ll find the same files on the tg-app.pl home page, in the printable paper versions section.

Single or double elimination: which bracket should you print?

Single elimination (KO, „lose and you’re out”): the shortest tournament. With 16 players you play 15 matches. A good choice when you’re short on time or tables.

Double elimination (2KO): after a first loss, a player moves to the other side of the bracket and keeps playing for placings. There are roughly twice as many matches, but every player plays at least twice and the lower placings are fairer. We explain it in detail in our guide to double elimination and the Brazilian system.

You can run the Brazilian system on the same double elimination bracket. The only difference is the finish: the loser of the winners’ side final drops to the losers’ side and plays the losers’ side winner, and the winner of that match returns to the final against the player waiting on the winners’ side.

A bracket for table tennis and other sports

Printable brackets are most often used by table tennis organizers. At amateur tournaments and leagues, double elimination is especially popular because every player gets several matches and the event fits into one afternoon. For planning categories, tables, and playing time, see our guide on how to run a table tennis tournament. The same brackets work for:

badminton, squash, tennis, and padel,

darts and pool,

table football, rapid chess, and board game tournaments,

school and corporate tournaments in any sport played one match at a time.

What if your player count doesn’t match the bracket?

The brackets come in 8, 16, 32, and 64 because these are powers of two: only then does every round have full pairs. If you have, say, 12 players, use the 16-player bracket and give four players a bye in the first round, ideally the top seeds. We explain how to place byes and seed favorites so they don’t meet too early in our guide to making a tournament bracket step by step.

A printable bracket compatible with Turniej Generator

A paper bracket isn’t an alternative to the system; it’s backup for when there’s no laptop, no signal, or nobody free to run a computer. Because the printable brackets match the brackets in Turniej Generator, you can:

enter results into the system as you go, so players and fans see the bracket on their phones right away,

enter results later, during a break, after the event, or the next day; the system calculates the bracket and placings just the same,

run some matches on paper and some in the app, for example at tables without a tablet,

keep a full tournament record: results, standings, and a shareable link, not just a photo of the sheet on your phone.

On the same page you can also generate printable tournament groups, also compatible with the system, so you can move group stage results into Turniej Generator the same way.

How to prepare a paper bracket for your tournament

Count your registered players and pick the next bracket size up.

Choose the format: KO when time matters, 2KO when you want everyone to play more.

Print the bracket, on A3 for 32 or 64 players.

Place the top players at opposite ends of the bracket and draw the rest.

Assign byes if your player count isn’t a power of two.

Hang the bracket somewhere visible and fill in results as you go.

Enter the results into Turniej Generator, right away or after the event, to get standings and a results link for participants.

Enter your results in Turniej Generator

Running a larger event? You can download and print the PDF files without registering.

How many matches are in a 16-player bracket?

In single elimination, 15: each match knocks out one player until there’s a winner. In double elimination there are roughly twice as many.

Which bracket suits a table tennis tournament?

If you have time and several tables, double elimination, because everyone plays at least two matches. With many players and limited time, single elimination, or groups followed by a bracket.

Can I enter results from a paper bracket into the system later?

Yes. The printable brackets are compatible with Turniej Generator, so you can enter results from the sheet at any time, during the event or after it. The system calculates the bracket and standings, and participants get a link to the results.

Free printable tournament brackets in PDF for 8, 16, 32, and 64 players, in single and double elimination.
